The singer appears to be a popular choice for the slot, which will take place in February, and fans are excited to see which songs from his catalogue of hits will feature.

A Las Vegas man has been charged with murder with the use of a deadly weapon in connection with the murder of Tupac Shakur in 1996. The case is one of the most famous in music history and has puzzled and frustrated fans since it took place.


Jimmy Buffett dies aged 76


Musician and restaurant tycoon Jimmy Buffet died this month at age 76. The singer-songwriter was probably best known for his song ‘Margaritaville’ which inspired the name of his restaurant chain, which in turn helped him become one of the only billionaire musicians. Many fellow musicians and notable names shared their condolences, including the President of the United States Joe Biden.

GUTS - Olivia Rodrigo


Olivia Rodrigo took every girl in their teenage years and 20s by storm this month with the release of her pop-punk-influenced sophomore album GUTS. The album takes Rodrigo’s individualistic pop style from Sour and enhances it 10 fold.


Tension - Kylie Minogue


Everyone’s favourite Aussie popstar is back with a brand new album after the insane success of Padam Padam, with some deeming it one of her best.


BB/ANGEL - Tinashe


Tinashe continues her streak of releasing great albums that go under the radar with the general public with BB/Angel. The album takes Tinashe’s signature sound and explores a range of genres, mainly focusing on electronic R&B and pop.


Bewitched - Laufey


Laufey is bringing jazz to a new audience with her new album Bewitched. The album acts as a great introduction to the genre for those who may be more typically into indie or acoustic music.


The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We - Mitski


Mitski released a brand new album which could arguably be her best this month. Although the Land is Inhospitable and So Are We is impossible to read, listening is made easy with such a well-written and performed album

 

Live on tour


Olivia Rodrigo announces tour and, predictably, the sale is a nightmare


Olivia announced a massive GUTS world tour for 2024, with performances taking place in arenas this time around. However, despite the upgrade in the size of venues, ticket sales still turned out to be a disaster. Fans were frustrated to see the ‘waitlist’ feature bought back by Ticketmaster, meaning that many fans lost out on tickets without even getting the chance to buy them. And let’s not even discuss the prices…

After her joint tour with Billy Joel this year, Stevie Nicks has announced a solo tour for next year. The ex-Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter is only headed to North America for the moment but is playing some major venues.
